"I don't know wy her voice quivers so much when she speaks to me, though. I wish it didn't. I mean, it's still me, right? The savage fucker who dumped her isn't really all that different from the man who worshipped the breath of her, right?" Ring any bells? You're on Lather Rinse and Repeat. You're being "completed" again but somehow you still have to drive the knife into the ex you no longer care for, hoping she's reading no doubt. You probably should stop writing the shallow poetry before you embarrass yourself.

Yay her! I think that the cyclist acted on the impulse that we all share when we see people doing stupid things. Too bad about it turning onto such a scene though...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels the excited midnight countdown so awfully contrived. It feels like the *corporate* new year -- as opposed to the various spiritual ones, seasonal ones, or personal ones. 01-01-X is entirely to do with corporate calendars and financials and not a whole lot else in my frame of reference. Hallowe'en is a spiritual threshold, solstices are physical, and the asian new year is largely intellectual for me. Heart, body and mind -- someone remind me where the corporate/fabricated one fits in?

I'd LOVE to hear about those cranberries one day. In fact, I'd love to taste 'em -- I think a random Jan/Feb turkey dinner might be in order ( especially since we don't do one in Dec!) What say you two be our guests of honour? We cleaned up the guest room so it's really more of a room now... :D
